Why I Became a Wedding Planner

That’s part of why I fell in love with weddings, not because they’re perfect, but because they’re personal. The way someone tears up during a toast, the quiet squeeze of a hand during the vows, the laughter that fills a dance floor… those are the moments that stay with me.

Meaningful Moments

When I first met Karis, owner and planner of Karis Elizabeth Weddings in Colorado, I remember feeling an instant sense of peace and excitement. Karis is the kind of person who lights up a room without even trying. I thought to myself, I can’t wait to learn from you. And I did.

Years later, Karis is more than a boss, she’s a friend and mentor. She showed me not just the logistics of wedding planning, but the heart behind it: the small gestures that couples and guests remember long after the day has passed. She reminded me that at the core of it all, human connection is what we’re really longing for.

Before I ever called myself a planner, I was someone who noticed the little things, the way the light shifts at golden hour, how a handwritten note can say more than a speech, how one thoughtful detail can make a guest feel completely seen. I’ve always loved gathering people, whether it’s sharing a meal with a close friend or hosting girls’ nights where we attempt to make pasta, pupusas, or sushi together.

For me, it’s never just about weddings, it’s about what they represent: a beginning, a promise, and the celebration of a story.

My Approach

My style leans more intentional than trendy, more timeless than flashy. I love pairing clean, simple design with personal touches that reflect who you are, your relationship, your values, your story.

You won’t find me rushing through the day or barking orders. What you will find is calm energy, steady guidance, and a fierce commitment to making sure every piece of your day feels like it belongs there.

For YOU

When we work together, I’m not just checking boxes, I’m tuning into what matters most to you. I’m here to listen, to guide, and to bring clarity (and maybe even a little joy) to the process. I want you to feel present, confident, and genuinely excited.

Whether you’re dreaming of a garden ceremony, a destination celebration, or something that doesn’t quite fit a Pinterest board, I’m here for it. And I’d be honored to help bring your vision to life.
